Acupressure : How to Diagnose an Allergy

Allergy is a damaging immune response by the body to a substance, especially a particular food, pollen, fur, or dust, to which it has become hypersensitive .Allergic diseases include hay fever, food allergies, atopic dermatitis, allergic asthma, and anaphylaxis.

Allergies are the body's response to a substance called an allergens like dust, pollen, insects bites, weather  , certain food items, drinks smell, medication etc. Any allergen when comes in  physical contact can act as a 'foreign object' in the body.  The body then produces antibodies to neutralize or help rid the body of the foreign substance.  In the process, histamine and other chemicals are released which cause allergic symptoms.

In spite of various researchers , allergy has been not  understood properly so it is not cured and as a result, the patient has to suffer for entire life and be in a perpetual fear of catching allergy anytime anywhere .

Our body consists of about 72% of water .Heat and cold have the same effect on the water inside our body as on the water outside. In our body Adrenal gland controls the fire element of body and act as a thermostat device .Whatever is the outside temperature , our body maintains the same temperature 98.4 degrees F throughout  the years. The water in our body gets heated during the day due to physical activities and outside temperature , while during the night it cools down creating moisture in the lungs and head . Now this excess moisture is thrown out from the body by sneezing and running nose . The excess moisture in body hampers the working of Thyroid -parathyroid gland  , which is the barometer of the body ,controls the digestion of calcium and production of phosphorus.  The less supply of phosphorus and calcium disturbs the thermostat device  of the body the adrenal gland  . Due to the inefficient  working of the adrenal gland, less heat is produced in the body , so there will be less evaporation of water from the body and consequently there is an increase in the water content  in the body putting more pressure on lungs, and nose - sinus pockets .

Besides malfunctioning of Adrenal gland, the Sluggish liver also contributes to different types of allergies. The sluggish liver produces less bile in the body , due to lack of sufficient bile the acidic food of stomach is not neutralized in the intestine, this leads to acidity in the body. The acidity warms the air in the stomach. the heated air ascends to the empty  space of  head and face. Whenever this heated air is cooled due to outside lower temperature, cold wind, fan or air conditioner it turns into water vapor  and further become water droplets . Now this cooled water contracts and irritates the head , nose , throat and lungs neurons and this excess water is thrown out from the body by sneezing and running of water from nose and eyes.

Moreover, due to the continuation of cold for a period of two to three years, even the lungs lose their capacity to throw out toxins gathered from the blood. The net result is that the body develops Allergy for something. The overburdened nerves develop irritation against certain things like perfumes, pollen, dust, etc. And so when the patients come in contact with that particular thing; the nerves get excited.
In a case of an allergy attack, point number 21 sends two signals: One to the liver to slow down it's functioning so the excess heat can be produced and the other an SOS to the brain to defend against this enemy (the foreign object in a body). The body knows only one language of defense - it creates Heat. The Brain produces more Histamine. After a while, the brain comes to know that Allergy point had sent a wrong signal and realizes that nothing has gone into the system of the body. And so, in order to remove the excess heat from the body, it creates cold. This results in sneezing, watering of the nose and eyes, coughing, vomiting, etc. This fight in the body between the excess heat and cold results in breathlessness, depression, etc. This is not understood and so instead of helping to remove the excess heat and increasing the power of resistance of the body by reducing the deficiency of calcium, drugs like anti-histamine are given to curb the Allergy. For the time being, this process of removing the excess heat from the body is arrested. But very soon, the body starts this process of throwing out the excess heat-which is considered to be another attack of Allergy. The vicious cycle continues. And so, even Adrenal gland is more damaged- which damages oxygenation in the body—creates more breathlessness and creates more and more weakness in the body—leading to more depression and the power of resistance of the body becomes so low that the patient develops Allergy even against microscopic dust.

Skin Allergy is also caused by an allergen which is responsible for triggering an immune system response . Skin allergy symptoms include swelling, hives and rashes . The skin allergy Reactions may occur in one spot, such as a small localized skin rash, itchy eyes, face bumps, or all over, as in a whole body rash such as hives (urticaria ) . Through the process of perspiration, many toxins are thrown out from the body through the skin . Due to sluggish liver and malfunctioning of the adrenal gland, there is less circulation of blood hence less oxygenation of cells  . Now more and more toxins gather under the skin , the nerve ending at that point become irritated and skin shows allergic symptoms like rashes, hives and swelling.

Parameters ( tender points )

Point no -8 ---thyroid -parathyroid , is the radiator of body
Point no-21 --- allergy point on the back of right hand

Point no-26 --- kidney, removes toxins from the body
Point no-28 --- Adrenal , the thermostat device  of the body , controls oxygenation and circulation of blood.
