When we press our points and feel a sharp pain this is called our pain point (P.P.) and it is where most of the pressure should be applied.

The P.P. is usually in one small area of the pressure point. During diagnosis, we will be able to tell that there is a problem by the reaction on the person's face or even by the flickering of the eyes.

When people are doing it themselves it is easy to tell when they come across the P.P.

We have seen in the previous blogs that our body reveals all its problems on the pain-point (PP) of palms and soles. there is no need to study the symptoms or names of the diseases or go into the long details of the  history .  Any problems even though it may be just in the early stage , the corresponding PP on the palms/soles become tender and so when you apply pressure there you will feel hurting pain.  

For confirmation of exact diagnosis, we have to emphasise on some important points

The most important points :   No.8 Thyroid and Parathyroid Gland,No.29 Solar Plexus,No.3 Pituitary Gland, No.4 Pineal Gland,  No.28 Adrenals, No.25 Pancreas, No-16 lymph  Nos. 11-15 Sexual Organs.

Prostate : point no-11
 In hand, this Point is on the wrist crease at its outer (lateral) end. Just underneath this point, the radial pulse is palpable. In the foot, this point is located in the pit between the prominence of internal malleolus (the prominent and elevated lower end of the leg bone tibia) and Achilles' tendon.Prostate gland only found in a male form a vital part of the male reproductive system. Prostate  provides enzyme-rich fluid and produces up to a third of the total volume of the seminal fluid. 

A Sharp pain on point no-11 indicates Enlargement of the prostate gland,Difficulty in urination,Incontinence of urine,Hydrocele,Bad smell in urine,Facilitates semen secretion,Hernia .

Vagina and Penis : point no- 12

In hand Point No. 12 is located one finger width below the point No. 11. In the foot, this point is situated 1 finger width directly below point No. 11, in the mid-point between the inner margin of the heel and internal malleolus (the prominent and elevated lower end of the leg bone tibia).

Uterus : point no- 13 

In hand, point No. 13 is 2 fingers width below the point No. 11 or wrist crease. In sole , this point is located in the pit directly below the center of the internal malleolus (the prominent and elevated lower end of the leg bone tibia).

The uterus is the part of the female reproductive tract that nurtures and protects the fetus during pregnancy. as a hollow muscular organ, it  lies within the pelvic cavity . this point is located only on females hands /foot. 

Hurting pain on point no-13 indicatesIndications Menstrual problems,Absence of menstruation,Difficulty in menstruation,Painful menstruation,Female infertility,Leukorrhea,Excessive sweating,Controls uterus functions,Labor pain,Smooth ,facilitation of childbirth,Pelvic inflammatory disease,Endometritis,Cyst and tumors,Irregular, excessive or scanty periods , Uterus may get displaced with heavy physical work, Uterine ,  Fibroid .

Ovary : point no-14 

 In hand Point No. 14 is located 2 fingers width below the wrist crease (on the side of the little finger) or point No. 15. In foot, it is located in the pit at the center of a horizontal line drawn between the external malleolus (the prominent and elevated lower end of the leg bone fibula) and the margin of the Achilles' tendon. 

Only found in female the ovaries are the site of production of  eggs, which are fertilized by sperm to produce embryos. The paired endocrine gland ovaries are situated in the lower abdomen and lie on either side of the uterus. The ovary is a sexual gland, it creates the hormones estrogen and  progesterone. Its proper functioning enables pregnancy to be carried to full term.

In hand Point No. 15 is located at the extreme outer end of the wrist crease (little finger side) or 2 fingers width above point No. 14. In the foot, it is located in the pit of the heel bone where the Achilles tendon joins with the heel bone or 2 fingers width below point No. 14.

Testis only found in male, lies suspended within the scrotum, are the sites of sperm production. The testes lie within the scrotum. It creates sperm and sexual hormones.

A sharp pain on the point no-15 of testis indicates Infertility, Discharge, Sexual problems,Weak semen,Low sperm count,Early ejaculation,Nightfall and Hydrocele.

Lymph :

Lymph nodes are small, bean-shaped glands throughout the body. They are part of the lymph system, which carries fluid (lymph fluid), nutrients, and waste material between the body tissues and the bloodstream.

The lymph system is an important part of the immune system, the body's defense system against disease. The lymph nodes filter lymph fluid as it flows through them, trapping bacteria, viruses, and other foreign substances, which are then destroyed by special white blood cells called lymphocytes.

Lymph nodes may be found singly or in groups. And they may be as small as the head of a pin or as large as an olive. Groups of lymph nodes can be felt in the neck, groin, and underarms. Lymph nodes generally are not tender or painful. Most lymph nodes in the body cannot be felt.

Lymph controls the immune defense system of our body .Lymph helps in clearing the toxins from the body and  clear the dead cells from the system. Lymph nodes become inflamed or enlarged in various infections and diseases which may range from trivial throat infections to life-threatening cancers.


Lymph ( point no-16) and Acupressure :

Lymph gland point  No. 16 is located 3 fingers width below the crease of wrist, between the two tendons. In foot it is located 4 fingers width vertically above the internal malleolus (the prominent and elevated lower end of the leg bone tibia) at the internal margin of the tibia.

When there is an excess of dead cells and toxins in the body , the Lymph nodes have to overwork and so they become very fragile, weak and tender .  At this moment the Point no-16 of lymph glands in both hands become very tender and hurting when pressed .
A sharp pain on   lymph gland point no-16 may indicates possibilities of following diseases.

In previous blogs, we have seen that the important Pressure Points for diagnosis are No.8 Thyroid and Parathyroid gland No.29 Solar Plexus, No.3 Pituitary Gland, No.4 Pineal Gland,  No.28 Adrenals and No.38 thymus along with these points for  children. Now after pressing all  these points   we have to check the Pancreas the point No.25 . For exact diagnosis it is very important to find the precise pain point in the pressure points that hurt.

Pancreas : 

The pancreas is a glandular organ in the digestive system and endocrine system of vertebrates. In humans, it is located in the abdominal cavity behind the stomach. It is an endocrine gland producing several important hormones, including insulin, glucagon, somatostatin, and the pancreatic polypeptide which circulate in the blood. The pancreas is also a digestive organ, secreting pancreatic juice containing digestive enzymes that assist digestion and absorption of nutrients in the small intestine. These enzymes help to further break down the carbohydrates, proteins, and lipids in the chyme.

The pancreas is involved in sugar control and metabolism within the body, and also in the secretion of substances which help digestion. Classically, these are divided into an "endocrine" role, relating to the secretion of insulin and other substances within pancreatic islets and helping control blood sugar levels and metabolism within the body, and an "exocrine" role, relating to the secretion of enzymes involved in digesting substances from outside of the body.

Pancreas ( point No.25) and acupressure : 

This Point No. 25 on the palm of the hand is located little above the spot which is marked in-between the tips of little and ring finger when one makes a gentle fist, or thus it is between the 4th and 5th metacarpal bones. In the soles  , this point is located in-between the head of 4th and 5th metatarsals (the bone that lies on the hind of the foot  between the bones of toes and heel). 

If the point no.25 of pancreas is tender and hurting it indicates  Pancreatitis,
Diabetes mellitus,Hyperglycaemia,Hypoglycaemia,Migraine,Indigestion,Head reeling,Tension,High blood pressure,Low blood pressure,Tremor,Convulsion,Bad habits,Fats around abdomen,Eczema. 

Underworking of Pancreas leads to diabetes and overworking of pancreas leads to low B.P. , dizziness and even to alcoholism through hypoglycemia or the shortage of sugar in the body.

How to confirm  Diabetes : 

1. Press on point No.16 of lymph , if it is not hurting even when pressed very hard , then the sugar level in the blood is normal below 100/120 . 
2. If point no-25 of pancreas and point No.16 of Lymph , both are hurting then diabetes is confirmed .
3. If point No.25 of Pancreas and point No.28 of Adrenal gland both are tender and hurting , then underworking of Pancreas is predicted . 
4. If point no-25 of the pancreas , point No.16 of Lymph and Point no-28 of Adrenal , all three are hurting it indicates very underworking pancreas  or the advanced level of diabetes . 
5. If only point No.25 is hurting , and there is no pain on  point No.16 of lymph  it indicates overworking of Pancreas leading to  Low B.P. , migraine,desire to eat -drink sweets ,alcoholism etc .
6. Moderate pain on point No.25 of pancreas and No.16 of lymph indicates borderline high sugar level or the level  between 120-150. 
7. Very  hurting pain   on point No.25 of pancreas and No.16 of lymph indicate very high sugar level in the body which could be more than 300.

In the line of diagnosis after pressing the points of thyroid-parathyroids, solar plexus, pineal-pituitary , adrenal check the Thymus gland (point no-38)  one of the most important point in acupressure .  

Thymus gland : 

The most important gland in childhood from the time the child is born till puberty. It helps with good mental and physical development. 

It creates anti-bodies, stores iron and strengthens muscles. In mid pregnancy the thymus of the fetus produces hormones for the well being of the mother.

The thymus gland forms a vital part of the body’s immune system. The thymus is a pink endocrine gland which lies in the chest cavity. It forms a vital part of the body’s immune system, being the site of development of important specialized immune cells called T-lymphocytes.The thymus gland is most active during early life, playing a critical role in the development of a child’s immune system before birth and for a time thereafter. Usually by the age of two, the thymus gland has reached its maximum size (weighing about 30 to 40 grams) with the immune system becoming fully functional. Thus the main function of the thymus gland is in the processing and maturation of special lymphocytes called T-cells and taking care of child’s immunity. 

This gland affetcs  body;s mechanism, growth of child, colorlessness of skin, excess blinking of eyelids, infectious disease etc . 

Thymus gland (point no-38 )  and acupressure : 

If the point no-38 of Thymus gland is very tender or painful,  in case of children it indicates weakened immune system , and in case of adults it indicates the condition of myasthenia gravis or loss of muscles power.  Malfunctioning of Thymus gland indicates very low immunity power .Thymus gland phlegm stagnation is a primary causative factor for allergies.

Thymus gland is located just below the web in between the middle and ring finger and in soles this is located below the web of in between the 3rd and 4th toes.

After pressing the points of Thyroid-parathyroid, solar plexus and Pineal-pituitary check the Adrenal gland (point no-28 ) for further diagnosis .According to acupressure when any organ is diseased its corresponding point on hands and feet  will be very tender and painful when pressed . 

The Adrenal glands  are located on top of each kidney. Their name directly relates to their location(ad—near or at; renes—kidneys). these Glands secrete important hormones like aldosterone that regulates the retention of sodium in the body and epinephrine that exerts its influence on the heart . Adrenaline helps to give us the muscles tone needed throughout the body. It is also responsible for peristaltic action in the intestine . It is also important for controlling the problems related to heart and asthma . 

 Adrenal gland controls the production of bile and controls the liver and blood flow.Adrenal hormones, such as cortisol and aldosterone, play key roles in the functioning of the human body, such as regulating blood pressure; metabolism, the way the body uses digested food for energy; and the body’s response to stress. In addition, the body uses the adrenal hormone dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) to make androgens and estrogens, the male and female sex hormones.

Malfunctioning of Adrenal gland creates the problem of fatigue and lethargy  If you have symptoms such as tiredness, fearfulness, allergies, frequent influenza, arthritis, anxiety, depression, reduced memory, difficulties in concentrating, insomnia, worn-out, and the inability to lose weight after extensive effort you may be suffering from Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome.

Adrenal Insufficiency may  also cause chronic, or long lasting, fatigue, muscle weakness,loss of appetite,weight loss,abdominal pain, nausea,vomiting,diarrhea,low blood pressure that drops further when a person stands up, causing dizziness or fainting,irritability and depression,craving salty foods,hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar,headache,sweating,irregular or absent menstrual periods,in women, loss of interest in sex .

Underworking of Adrenal glands leads to dullness,timidity,less energy,less oxygenation.Overworking of Adrenal glands  leads to acidity and vomiting , severe headache and even increased cholesterol level .

If  the patient is stressed, anxious, overworked, overtired check his adrenal gland or point no-28 on palms and soles . If this point is very tender and painful the patient becomes very restless , impatient and short-tempered, He cannot control diet and suffer from stomach problems and blood pressure. Such person becomes fearful, timid and loses vigour to face problems of life  . Extreme pain on point no-28 indicates less circulation of blood, less oxygenation, severe depression excess  body heat and the suicidal  tendency .

Pineal -Pituitary  Gland (point no-4 and point no- 3 )and Acupressure :  

The Pineal -Pituitary (point no-4 and point no-3 ) are found on the fleshy pad of the thumb in both right and left palms and the flashy pad of the big toe in both the right and  left foot. 

Pineal Gland ( point no-4) : Pineal is the controller of all glands. Pineal  controls the development of others glands and regulate them. If pineal  gland is working not properly you will feel a sharp and hurting pain of point no-4  .

Pineal  controls the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and thus keeps all the glands and body vitalized, strong and healthy. 

Malfunctioning of penal gland creates high B.P. , premature sex glands,sex delinquency,excess retention of fluids in the body , melatonin deficiency, insomnia, anxiety , elevated estrogen/progesterone levels, immune suppression, lowered body temperature head trauma, stress , light-electromagnetic radiation exposure effects  . 


Pineal gland regulates the Potassium-Sodium balance in the body and so its malfunctioning leads to excessive retention of fluids in the body which is mistaken for a serious kidney problems .  So if there is problem of water retention in body , check the point no 4 of pineal  gland and  point no-26 for kidney in both palms. On applying pressure , if the point no-4 of Pineal is having a sharp and hurting pain and point no-26 of kidney has no pain then it is concluded  that the patient is having a pineal malfunction instead of the kidney ailment. And if there is no pain on point no-4 but Point no-26 of kidney are very tender and hurting than it is concluded that the patient is having a kidney problem .

Pituitary Gland- (point no-3 ) : is the master gland located in the brain ,controls air and  space in the body.   As the “master gland” of the body, it produces many hormones that travel throughout the body, directing certain processes or stimulating (causing) other glands to produce other hormones.Malfunctioning of pituitary can induce hormonal and metabolic disorders.Symptoms depend on what hormone is deficient or excess and may include short height or uncontrolled height ,obesity ,, the child may be veryu naughty/dishonest, ,reduction in sexual potancy, , spinal defects, , reatarded mental growth,   infertility, intolerance to cold, fatigue, and an inability to produce breast milk, bad memory, skin problems etc . 
The pituitary gland   is responsible for our judgement, our wants, and gives our mind its direction.
If this gland works perfectly then the person may be highly creative and skilled in whatever activities are conducted.

Solar Plexus : 

Solar plexus in Acupressure is  one of the most important points in diagnosing different ailments.

 Solar Plexus is located in the rib cage . Manipur chakra or the Solar plexus is a network of nerves that is situated directly behind the stomach and is the largest autonomic nerve center in the abdominal cavity. Nerves branch out from here to all parts of the abdomen and controls many vital functions such as adrenal secretion and intestinal contraction. It is often termed as the “abdominal brain.” 

A brain in the gut , Gut feeling, Gut intuition ,go with your gut,  listening to your stomach are nowadays are some common everyday expressions . 

The enteric nervous system of Solar plexus contains over 100 million neurons. that's more than the make up  the spinal chord. 

The brain is also known as big brain and the solar plexus is known as the little brain.  The two brains  share many of the same neurotransmitters and chemical receptor sites, which may explain why their responses frequently seem to parallel each other. Shared receptors may also explain why drugs that act on the brain are prone to triggering side effects in the stomach. 

Solar -plexus(point number -29) and Acupressure :

The Solar Plexus or the belly brain is one of the most important reflexes point used in acupressure and is worked at the beginning and the end of an acupressure treatment.

Working on this reflex can relieve stress and nervousness, aid relaxation and deep regular breathing, and restore a feeling of calm making it beneficial for people suffering from anxiety, depression, stress-related conditions, nervous disorders, asthma, and hyperventilation to name a few. As this reflex helps calm and relax the entire nervous system it should be worked in cases of a migraine, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, stroke, Parkinson's disease, and any other nervous system disorder.

Also known as the “Bubbling Spring” point in acupressure , Solar plexus is the Manipur Chakra which controls the fire and production of digestive juices. Regulates blood and sugar levels, controls stress-activeness, controls sodium and water balance in the body . 

Solar plexus is considered in Acupressure as an important point as its upset can result in many disorders of the body.Solar plexus is located in the middle of the palm .

Why does the solar plexus get displaced ?

 
It is most likely to get displaced by either lifting and/or carrying heavy weights, or by excessive gas in the stomach.

How do we check that the solar plexus is in the correct position ?

 
By placing our hands horizontally in front of us with both the little fingers placed side by side; the lines of the fingers should match exactly with the little fingers being the same length. Also, the heart  lines on the palms should match.They should match exactly, if not them our solar plexus needs treatment.Stomach pain and digestive disorders are some problems arise when the solar plexus is not in good order /condition. 

Check the Solar plexus :

1. After beginning your acupressure diagnosis by observing the obvious hints of palm's temperature, nails, face and the severity of disease by checking the  Parathyroid and thyroid (point no-8 ) look for Solar plexus an important point in acupressure diagnosis  . 
2. Due to severe gas trouble, weakness of intestines, lifting of heavy articles, sometimes, there is a frequent shifting of Solar Plexus. You will feel a very sharp and hurting pain on point no-29 if you are suffering from stomach upset, vomiting, gastritis,chest burn,constipation,dysentery,burning sensation of body,backache,piles painful urination, diabetes pain in legs,fingers and toes, burning sensation in eyes, chicken pox, indigestion, hernia etc.
3. Please check the point no-29 of solar plexus in both palms for diagnosing the exact root cause of the disease.

Acupressure is the Science of Nature which teaches us to cure diseases through the in- built mechanism of the body .Acupressure is an art of treating diseases by applying pressure on specific points with the help of one's thumb or by unpointed  equipment .
Our body consists of 5 basic elements earth,water,fire,air, and space . These 5 elements are controlled by the bio- electricity of body also known as Chi  ,Qi,  Parana .

The bio -electricity passes in the body through  Channels known as meridians . These meridians start from the tip of the each finger of right hand , go all over the body and end on the toes of the right foot so also on the left side . Now as long as bio-electricity flows properly in the body, the body remains healthy . If for any reason the bio-electricity does not reach any part of the body , there is a malfunction of that part accompanied by pain in some points of hand and soles. The switchboard of electric current flowing in our body is located in palms and soles. There are nearly 40 such points on the sole of the foot, and palm, connected to the internal organs and glands . When pressing the point, if you feel a pain, then you have  an ailment in the organ connected to this point.

Most of the organs and endocrine glands are on the right or left side of the body and so their corresponding points are on the right or the left palms and soles. 

When an organ is damaged  carbon dioxide /toxins gather around that organ and when pressed on the corresponding point of the organ either in palm or sole you will feel a sharp hurting  pain . The sharp and unbearable pain felt at any point on the palm or soles when pressed is the clear indication of some problem connected with that organ. 

Thyroid-Parathyroid Glands : 

The Thyroid-Parathyroid Glands are  located just under the skin on the front of the neck. These  glands play a very important role in controlling the body’s metabolism and how the body functions. It does this by producing hormones that tell the body how fast to work and how to use energy . Thyroid-Parathyroid Glands are also known as Vishudhi chakra or the throat chakra . The thyroid hormones regulate our body's metabolism and influence virtually every organ system in the body. They tell organs how fast or slow they should work.Thyroid hormones play a major part in creating the correct metabolic rate. If it is not functioning properly everything slows down leading to these classic symptoms:

A thyroid imbalance can cause weight problems, chronic fatigue, feelings of being overwhelmed, anxiety, emotional imbalances, hair loss, skin problems, depression or any combination of these symptoms. The thyroid gland works on a physiological level to balance the rate of your metabolism. Thyroid acupressure points enable healing energy (known as Qi or Chi or Prana ) to move through the thyroid restoring their  homeostatic (balancing) mechanism . 

Diagnosis : 

First clue : 

First hold the hands  of the patient  in your palms , if the patient is younger than you , his palm should be warmer than yours, however if the palms are cooler you will know that the energy flow in the patient's hand is less , similarly if the patient is older than you the palm should be cooler, but if the palm is warmer , it indicates there is excess heat in the body or he is having a fever. So the palm's  temperature indicates the degree of the vitality present in the patient.  

Second Clue :   

Watch the eyes of the patient ,  a healthy person's eyes are shining, and clear whereas   dull , pale , and swelled eyes indicate the problems in the body. 

Third clue : 

Pigmentation, skin eruptions, unusual facial hair growth  indicate internal  illness. 

Fourth clue  :

 Bad Nails may be a sign of disease in the body. If the  nails of the patient  are brittle and  are of abnormal color (pale, white, yellow, or bluish) he may have an internal health problem .                                                                                                                                                                                                                        
Fifth clue : 

Thyroid-Parathyroid Glands (point no-8 ) : 

Thyroid-Parathyroid Glands are the barometer of the body's health .If there is a sharp hurting pain on the  point no-8 then it is evident that there is a complaint in the body that is persisting for 8/10 days . A Sharp pain on  point no-8 indicates that there is something wrong somewhere in the body . If there is no pain  on the point no-8  or a very little pain on the point no-8 then either there is no problem in the body or the problem may be of a minor type  . Any disease in the body first  upsets the Thyroid-Parathyroid Glands and the point no -8 of such people is very tender and hurting .Hurting  Pain on point no-8 is the  surest  sign of  indication that an illness is persisting in the body for  more than 8/10 days . 

When point no-8 is pressed slightly and there is severe pain , it denotes major and serious  health problem and when a very hard pressure is applied on point no-8 and there is no pain or flicker in the eyes of the patient it denotes that there is no health problem.
