Acupressure : How to Diagnose Diabetes

Diabetes mellitus  commonly referred to as diabetes, is a group of metabolic diseases in which there are high blood sugar levels over a prolonged period Symptoms of high blood sugar include frequent urination, increased thirst, and increased hunger. If left untreated, diabetes can cause many complications.Acute complications include diabetic ketoacidosis and nonketotic hyperosmolar coma. Serious long-term complications include cardiovascular disease, stroke, chronic kidney failure, foot ulcers, and damage to the eyes.

Diabetes is due to either the pancreas not producing enough insulin or the cells of the body not responding properly to the insulin produced.

Pancreas :

The J-shaped Pancreas having both the exocrine and endocrine cells produces enzymes and hormones respectively. It lies in the upper abdomen behind the stomach, one end in the curve of the duodenum and the other end touching the spleen.Pancreas as exocrine gland produces insulin which digests the glucose/ sugar from the food/drink we take .Such digested glucose gets mixed in the blood. Now ,due to tension or high blood pressure or  for some other reason ,the extracting glucose from the blood is weakened or damaged, and so instead of extracting all glucose from blood leaving only 70 to 120 glucose in the blood (which is the normal level in the blood ) less glucose is extracted and so the blood which goes back in circulation contains more glucose/sugar and increases the level of  glucose and when this blood is tested this unextracted glucose is found in blood ranging from 150  to 500/600  When the  glucose level at the time of fasting goes over 120  and remains so for a long period, it is said that diabetes has set and the patient  is called diabetic.Glucose level more than 200 damage the kidney and than glucose is found in the urine of the patient.

normal fasting (no food for eight hours) blood sugar level is between 70 and 99 mg/dL.and

normal blood sugar level two hours after eating is less than 140 mg/dL .

Diabetes and acupressure :

Pancreas or point no-25 the palm of the hand is located little above the spot which is marked in-between the tips of little and ring finger when one makes a gentle fist, or thus it is between the 4th and 5th metacarpal bones. In the foot, this point is located in-between the head of 4th and 5th metatarsals (the bone that lies on the hind of the foot between the bones of toes and heel).Since Pancras is one of the most important acupressure points so it considered to be  located on both palms/soles .

Pain on point no-25
Pain on point no-25 of pancreas indicates Pancreatitis,Diabetes mellitus,Hyperglycaemia,Hypoglycaemia,Migraine,Indigestion,Head reeling,Tension,High blood pressure,Low blood pressure,Tremor,Convulsion,Bad habits,Fats around abdomen,Eczema

Exactness in  diagnosis of Diabetes :

Remember for diabetes

the most important point are  ---16,25,28
the important points are ---23,27
the supportive points are ---3,16

Start to diagnose :

  1. Press point no-16, if there is no pain even when pressed very hard ,then sugar level in blood is normal .
  2. Slight pain on point no-16 indicates something wrong in blood.
  3. Pain on point no-25 and no pain on point no-16 indicates overworking of pancreas leading to migraine desire to eat/drink sweet, alcoholism .
  4. slight pain on point no-16 and 25 indicates borderline high sugar or sugar level between 12-150
  5. moderate pain on point no-16 and 25 indicates high sugar level , sugar level more than 200
  6. very hurting pain or sharp pain on point no-16 and 25 indicates very high sugar level ,sugar level more 300
  7. Pain on 25+28 indicates under working pancreas.
  8. Pain on 16+25+28 indicates sugar level more than 300/400
