Badhaka Planets and Delayed Marriage in Astrology

In Sanskrit, badha (बाधा) means an obstruction,  impediment, handicap, hindrance, holdback etc. In a Birth chart, the obstacles in the life are also analyzed on the basis of houses. Some houses in the horoscope create obstacles and problems. The Lords of these houses are known as Badhak or Badhakesh.

A Baadhak planet creates a hindrance to the good results shown by a sign and the house in which the sign falls. the
Badhakesh in any house harms the prospects of that house and provides malefic results corresponding to the house it is located in. Planets located in badhak -sthana harm the prospects of the house they own.

Different Lords of houses act as Badhak for different Ascendants.11th house in a horoscope is badhak for movable ascendant signs, 9th house for fixed ascendant signs and 7th house for dual nature ascendant signs.

Correlation between Badhaka planets and delayed marriage :

 
The marriage of native is extremely delayed if  : 

1. the badhak planet is sitting in the 7th house
2. the badhak planet is aspecting 7th house 
3. the badhak planet is the lord of 7th house  
4. the badhak planet is   aspecting/conjoining the lord of 7th house.
5. If the above combinations also held for the Moon Ascendant, then the marriage of the native will be extremely delayed. 

Example :  

1. The native is 29-year-old very attractive and dynamic lady, who is still unmarried. 
2. For the dual sign birth ascendant, 7th house is the badhak- sthan and Mercury as the lord of 7th house is the badhakesh  , indicates extremely delayed marriage. 
3.  From the fixed sign  Moon ascendant the badhak- sthan is the 9 th house and Saturn as badhakesh is sitting in 7th house from Moon ascendant indicates delayed marriage. 

1. The native is a male, who got married at the age of 42. 
2. For Movable sign Capricorn ascendant, the 11th  house is the badhak sthan and Mars is the badhakesh , Now in natal chart Mars is conjoined with the lord of 7th house Moon , indicates delayed marriage . 
3. For the fixed sign Moon ascendant, the badhak sthan is  9th house and the Moon is badkesh for Moon ascendant  , now Moon, as badhakesh is aspecting the 7th house from the Moon ascendant, indicates delayed marriage.
