In the line of diagnosis after pressing the points of thyroid-parathyroids, solar plexus, pineal-pituitary , adrenal check the Thymus gland (point no-38) one of the most important point in acupressure .
Thymus gland :
The most important gland in childhood from the time the child is born till puberty. It helps with good mental and physical development.
It creates anti-bodies, stores iron and strengthens muscles. In mid pregnancy the thymus of the fetus produces hormones for the well being of the mother.
The thymus gland forms a vital part of the body’s immune system. The thymus is a pink endocrine gland which lies in the chest cavity. It forms a vital part of the body’s immune system, being the site of development of important specialized immune cells called T-lymphocytes.The thymus gland is most active during early life, playing a critical role in the development of a child’s immune system before birth and for a time thereafter. Usually by the age of two, the thymus gland has reached its maximum size (weighing about 30 to 40 grams) with the immune system becoming fully functional. Thus the main function of the thymus gland is in the processing and maturation of special lymphocytes called T-cells and taking care of child’s immunity.
This gland affetcs body;s mechanism, growth of child, colorlessness of skin, excess blinking of eyelids, infectious disease etc .
Thymus gland (point no-38 ) and acupressure :
If the point no-38 of Thymus gland is very tender or painful, in case of children it indicates weakened immune system , and in case of adults it indicates the condition of myasthenia gravis or loss of muscles power. Malfunctioning of Thymus gland indicates very low immunity power .Thymus gland phlegm stagnation is a primary causative factor for allergies.
Thymus gland is located just below the web in between the middle and ring finger and in soles this is located below the web of in between the 3rd and 4th toes.
